There are so many tripods out there and it is sometimes difficult to know which is best.
The Manfrotto 190 XPROB has always been a winner for us and we have been using this for many years with our slider. It is solid stable and has yet to let us down. It remains stable even when mounting the 80cm Digislider in the centre as long as the legs are adjusted at 90 degrees from each other. Attaching a loaded bag to the hook in the centre will add weight and stability with higher loads. Also has some very good height, but it cannot be set flat on the ground for super low shots as the centre column gets in the way.
The angled head works great to pull off some unconventional camera slider angles.
An alternative that we can also recommend is the Q-666C tripod (which comes with an excellent ball head we have recommended before in our blog on tripod heads). There are many brands selling the same tripod like the Andoer Aluminum Travel Camera Tripod. This is a great tripod that offers less height (133cm) than the Manfrotto 190 XPROB (190cm) but it is more compact, lighter and more portable.
